Nutrition Education


Nutrition Education:   St. Francois County Health Center WIC has 3 Registrered Dietitians on staff to provide quality, evidence-based, nutrition education to all of our families.  Our goal is to educate and empower families to make healthy, lifelong nutrition decisions.

St. Francois County WIC offers a variety of participant-centered education opportunities to make sure you get the most of WIC experience.


Face-to-Face Nutrition Education:  You will speak with one our Registered Dietitians in a one on one setting to discuss various nutritional topics and to get your nutritional questions answered.  Together, you and the RD will develop a nutritional goal for your family and create a plan to accomplish it.  St. Francois County Health Center-WIC is proud to promote this unique online learning tool. offers in-depth, participant centered education all while being in the comfort of your own home.  It’s compatibility with smartphones, tablets, and computers allows you to complete your required appointments before your scheduled WIC appointment, offering you a speedy voucher pick up at your next visit.  Ask the WIC staff about how to use this online tool for your next appointment or visit the site at

Over the Phone:  Did you miss your last Nutrition Education appointment?  Need to send a proxy in to get your checks?  Give our WIC staff a call and the Registered Dietitian may be able to talk with you over the phone to complete your required Nutrition Education appointment.  This is a great option for working and busy moms who are limited on time.
**Not every participant will qualify for the or Phone nutrition education.  Appointment types are determined based on nutritional risk and at the discretion of the dietitian.**
